💡Latest research by @DisruptAfrica into African tech ecosystem also showed that 15.6% , 14.3% and 12.5% of startups in 🇳🇬, 🇿🇦 and 🇪🇬 have only one female founder.
Whilst we recognise the presence of women in these African companies, more effort is needed to encourage the wider participation of women and ultimately increase gender diversity efforts and this has to be led by boards.

A new report from @BDCharter found that women hold 25% of board seats and 27% of non-executive director seats in Ghana’s listed companies. In recent decades, Ghana has made progress toward diversity in leadership; however, as the report notes, the gender gap remains wide.
