The year that was - 2025
April 2025. Looking back, some places linger in memory not just for what they show, but for how beautifully they frame a story of a city and its people.
Visiting the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Byculla is always such an experience. Established in 1872 as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Bombay, it was renamed Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, honouring a key figure in its founding. The building has ornate ceilings, patterned tiles and meticulously restored interiors. Inside, collections of fine and decorative art capture the evolution of Bombay’s trades and communities; outside, statues in the garden add quiet charm to the setting. A truly rewarding visit.
