Day 10 – Hamilton to Tyndrum - 75 miles

We are on day 10 and, with only 4 more days to go, we are nearly there!

Today took us from Hamilton, out of Glasgow along the River Clyde – along the banks of beautiful Loch Lomond, then into Trossachs & South West Highlands.

LEJOG 2023 - Day 9
Gretna Green to Hamilton - 85 miles

We had a climb, followed by a very bumpy ride along the cycleways.

The route to our hotel took us through Strathclyde Country Park, on the outskirts of Motherwell just south of Glasgow. This place is absolutely stunning

Day 8 – Carnforth to Gretna - 88 miles

The weather was not on our side today. But we did see some of the most beautiful scenery that we’ve seen on this trip; the beauty of the Lake District never fails to impress.

Tomorrow we leave Gretna for Hamilton - 85 miles

LEJOG 2023 - Day 7

Leigh to Carnforth - 67 miles

A grey but dry start, knowing we will get wet at some point....and we certainly did!

The day marks ‘Half Way & ended with a cheeky ice cream to celebrate.

Strange to think we move into Scotland tomorrow on day 8.

LEJOG 2023 - Day 6
Shrewsbury to Leigh - 79 miles

Leaving Shrewsbury we again had the fortune of beautiful, lovely, sunny weather.
The day’s route to Leigh, just to the West of Manchester, took us briefly in-and-out of Clwyd, Wales and up through Cheshire and into Lancashire.

LEJOG 2023 Day 5 -

Hereford - Shrewsbury : 74 miles

We were blessed with wonderful weather and the route took us through some lovely scenery

Yesterday we crossed the Severn Bridge and rode through Wales. Today we went around the border, through Pembridge, Clun & Bishops Castle

Saw a photo shoot for new 'Stolen Goat' launch. Interesting encounter but we're sworn to secrecy, can’t tell you anything; but it looked great. Looking forward to the socks! @GoatStolen

LEJOG 2023 Day 4 - Gorges, Bridges & Rivers

Sunshine!

The mighty Cheddar Gorge, the high Clifton Suspension Bridge and the monstrous Seven Bridge.

Lunch taken at Tintern Abbey ruins before journeying through the beautiful Wye Valley.

Tomorrow we are heading to Shrewsbury

LEJOG 2023 - DAY 3 - Bovey Tracey to Wookey Hole - 87 miles

The day's route took us through Exeter, with the stunning Exeter Cathedral; around the Ham Wall Nature Reserve; through Glastonbury; into Wells and by the Bishops Palace; and to our Hotel stop in Wookey Hole.

LEJOG 2023 – DAY 2 – St. Austell to Bovey Tracey – 77 miles

Roads, Ferries & ‘A Brew in Looe’

A day that started with a mechanical issue with Kelly's bike but involved 2 Ferry Crossings, a Cup of Tea in Looe, numerous hills and lots of sunshine.

LEJOG 2023 - DAY 1

Day one went very well. The weather was amazing with a light wind, blue sky and sunshine.

We enjoyed the ride with some awesome climbs and passing along the coast with exceptional views of St Michael’s Mount.

On Sunday 6th August two B&D team members, Helen & Kelly, will embark on a “Land's End-John O’Groates” cycle ride.
Any funds raised by this adventurous 1009 mile/14 day trip will be donated to British Heart Foundation.
