The Bring Down the Mountain Foundation aims to unite the people of South Africa in demolishing that terrible geographic embarrassment known as Table Mountain.
The clouds on Table Mountain are like a table cloth, but like a wet table cloth that doesn't stop the surface from getting scratched and is easily blown away by the wind. It's like the worst and most useless table cloth imaginable. #TableMountain#CapeTown#BringDownTheMountain
Once again, the EFF and the ANC want to rename Table Mountain "Winnie Madikizela-Mandela International Airport".
That'll be too confusing - it looks nothing like her.
But, then again, it doesn't look like a table or a mountain either, so 🤷♂️
We're sad to report that Table Mountain still stands despite the earthquake in Cape Town. This is proof that the rock of Table Mountain is frustratingly chewy, like an old winegum.
The ugliest flag of all time is probably that of @LetsFreeTheCape which makes me thinks they're being ironic about Cape Independence.
Why would they display the Cape's worst feature as an attempt to evoke Cape nationalism?
We fully support @FreetheWC in their goal of Cape secession, but only so long as the Republic of South Africa is forced to keep Table Mountain.

Mount Everest is a proper mountain worthy of respect. It's bigger than the moon and it kills people who hike on it. Although Table Mountain *does* have an impressive size-to-kill ratio, we all know it's not the mountain doing the work. It's the stabbings.

When tourists see Table Mountain they gloat, "Look at these people, they can't finish anything. All of *our* mountains have tops. Now let's go see the unfinished overpass in their city bowl."
@Klipkop12 @nytimes If they carved the faces out of the mountain then good on them. That's the dedication and ingenuity we admire.
Less of a mountain is a better mountain for all.
On the other hand, if they stuck the faces onto the mountain, then they're ruining the landscape.
