Not really sure what the value proposition of @Facebook’s new Portal VC unit is, when nearly all of the addressable market already owns a phone or tablet with better specs (the Portal+ price point of 350 bucks makes this particularly questionable).
MyPOV - Salesforce Essentials obviously hits a chord in terms of addressable market, will be interesting to see its trajectory against other “cheap and cheerful” vendors in this arena #DF18
Einstein Voice announced. Natural to layer on an conversational interface in my view. Usefulness of it in practice will be driven by strength of NLP and ability to recognize names and industry specific terminology IMHO. Looks promising but will want to see it in action. #DF18
Customer 360 announced for unified customer profile management. MyPOV - good link to MuleSoft acquisition for integrating external data into profile. #DF18
Heavy emphasis on trust in Keynote, Benioff discusses creation of internal ethics office. Subtext is a lot of firms are moving in this direction in wake of Cambridge Analytica debacle. #DF18
