@mreggbert@rtetwip@AodhanTd23528@RTEOne What new immigration policy? I'm not setting policy, I'm simply pointing out that the current rate of immigration and asylum are consistently not popular with a majority of the public, whether you or Aodhan like it or not.
@SadVampire1776 To imagine what it's like being inside this head, imagine being at the end of a long decision tree about society after answering every question incorrectly.
@Toibin1 Billions in the long run. And in the worst case scenario, unless there's a major copping-on in EU policy to stop every bloke on the planet who fancies better financial circumstances by exploiting the asylum visa-bypassing loophole (~90% of them), it'll cost us FAR more than that.
@eric_nelligan Ah the old 'what non-problem can I invent for my column this week' commentary pieces written as if it's 'how women think', but it's really how Sarah Breen thinks. 2nd sentence: 'it's not a position I would normally find myself in'. Ok, so not really a problem then is it?
@Independent_ie Three or four dozen sent home on 150k flights every 6 months isn't quite cutting it. But it's good for duping the average person on the street who doesn't understand the full scale of this scam into thinking you are effectively handling it, so I'll give him that.
@EoinLenihan He's quite good at sounding competent...without actually being competent. And that's enough for the average member of the public with low investment in what's going on in the country. 'Ah, sure he said he has the asylum situation handled, so its grand, /sleep'.
@Zero_9873 And she has most of the media effectively acting as her PR team bombarding the public with positive press to counteract the fact that when a microphone is put in her face (without a script that's been pre-written for her) she invariably comes across as an unimpressive airhead.
These expressions vary. The common adjective would be "quizzical". But it's an affected quizzical, because they're also smiling. At some level they get it, but they're going to pretend to be baffled and amazed by what you're saying. You might say they are pretending not to understand, and that is key to why this expression is so annoying and so characteristic of today's progressive.
@MacLughaidh And here's the kicker: the rate of arrivals here was ~100% based on the UK not controlling their borders. If they solved their problem they'd also solve ours. Now it's irrelevant because these men will be flown directly here from EU entry points with the EU migration pact.
@stellaomalley3 Born into wealth but doomed to be denied something money can never buy. When this child gets older, I think they'll agree it was not a fair trade off.
@Ireland_Votes@ireland_thinks@TheSundayIndo All that free PR and relentless, unwarranted presentation of Holly Cairns as some sort of maternal queen-like fertility godess genius by a predominantly socialist journalist clique that desperately want SD running the country is paying off I see.
@ramonagusta This is the phenotype of the oddball community busybody. What they lack in wits and intellect, they make up for in fervour and persistence. I'll bet she canvassed more than any other candidate in the area and simply broke the will of normie voters.
