Encouragement and information for BGCC parents. Keep up with what your kids are learning at church and find practical ways to intentionally connect them at home
Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for giving me everything I need. Thank You for the food we got to enjoy today. Please help us to help those who don’t have enough food to eat. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
At bedtime, read Proverbs 25:28. Pray together, asking God to give each of you the power to control yourself so you can better show love to Him and to others. https://t.co/uxZDOWKmj3
How’s your heart? The heart is pretty vital. Our hearts help us feel the highs and lows, navigate wonder and mystery, keep our imaginations stimulated and our dreams alive. It is the place where hope and faith live. https://t.co/rsHwX8tzqQ
Preschoolers love playdates with friends. Plan one for your child and talk about specific ways we can love friends the way Jesus does before they arrive (serve, share, hug, etc.). After the playdate, pray together and thank God for our friends.
“Who we are and how we engage with the world are much stronger predictors of how our children will do than what we know about parenting.” Brené Brown #MakeitPersonal
Take turns being Gideon, the leader, as you play “Follow the Leader.” Talk about how God told Gideon to do some things that Gideon didn’t understand, but Gideon still followed God and Gideon’s army followed him, because they knew God’s way is perfect.
Today’s Bible story was about how we can help others go God’s way. Watch the video in the App to see how a young king named Josiah helped an entire nation go God’s way! https://t.co/Cp1h6aa4kZ
Cuddle with your child & pray, “Dear God, thank You for this day with [child’s name]. I am so glad you gave him/her to me. Please help us do what You say, even when it’s hard. We know Your way is always best. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
At bedtime, read Proverbs 22:3. Pray for each other and ask God to help you take a good look first and get wise advice from someone you trust before “leaping.” https://t.co/KY0luHIGFs
