@queens_parents @karenvaites The briefs were released in April by NYSED, with the lead author running PD statewide. The briefs were part of the NY numeracy initiative, which itself was a response to stagnating math scores. Why this group was picked to write the briefs (from Michigan) is unclear to me.

Consider signing my petition to retract the newly released NY math briefs. These briefs, distributed statewide, recommend instructional practices shown by science to be ineffective. NY students deserve better.
