Al Hajj Hassan Basajjabalaba:-I want to appeal to government to reconsider the policy on medical internship. It is not right to completely abolish internship payment. If the payment is too high, it can be reduced, but not removed entirely.

๐จ๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Barcelona are not worried about missing the Bernardo Silva signing.
They sent an offer, but never considered Bernardo key in the project. He was seen as the 4th or 5th midfield option, after Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong and Marc Bernal.
Bernardo Silva preferred Real Madrid as Madridโs salary offer was 3 times higher than Barcelonaโs and had a guaranteed starting spot.
Barรงa will now focus on signing a striker and centre-back, while looking for options in La Masia like Tommy Marques to be promoted as new first team midfielder.
Dear @MinofHealthUG, I wish to bring to your attention serious concerns regarding the current state of service delivery at Bundibugyo District Hospital.
There appears to be an increasing dependence on the electronic system to the extent that patient care is delayed whenever the network is unavailable.
We also know that @UEDCLTD perfectly distributes darkness everywhere.
In many cases, treatment cannot proceed until prescriptions and patient information are entered into the electronic system.
This raises a critical concern of; what really happens to patients requiring urgent medical attention when the network is down for extended periods.
The system is prioritized over LIFE!
Additionally, there are concerns regarding staff attendance and supervision.
The new Minister @CHRISBARYOMUNS1 is aware that the staff here buzz during working hours!
Some health workers arrive late, around 12:00 p.m which negatively affects service delivery.
Given the importance of healthcare services to the people of Bundibugyo District, I respectfully request the @MinofHealthUG and other relevant authorities to investigate these concerns and take appropriate action to improve patient care, staff accountability, and overall hospital performance.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

๐บ๐ฌThe Medical interns debate is back on the floor.
Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi, MP for Nakawa West, has asked Government to drop the reported policy of suspending facilitation for medical interns.
He says medical interns provide critical labour after completing their training and should not be expected to serve patients without support for basic needs such as accommodation and feeding.
โHow do you expect them to show up to take care of us, including us in this place?โ
Why it matters: the issue touches both health worker welfare and patient care, especially in public hospitals that rely on interns as part of frontline service delivery.

Uganda Medical Association rejects government's lunch-instead-of-allowance offer to interns
UMA president Dr Frank Asiimwe said intern doctors require more than a single meal, noting that they also need support for breakfast, dinner, transport and healthcare
