2/3: Went to ER, stayed one night. Total cost was $8,646. After reviewing the itemized bill, I was able to reduce bill to $3,043 (many services listed I didn’t receive). Always question hospital invoices!!

Pro Tip: 1/3 - If you had a hospital stay, expect billing to arrive over the course of several months. DO NOT PAY any bill until you ask/receive an itemized invoice to review. By law, hospital can't deny the request.

🚨 California just voted to pass AB 2624 aka “The Stop Nick Shirley Act”:
This bill puts journalists at civil risk for investigating fraud and makes it harder to expose fraud in “immigration support services,” including NGOs, nonprofits and health care facilities that receive hundreds of millions from the state of California each year.

This bill would have made it criminal to expose fake hospices in LA or the Somali “learing center” in Minnesota if they then claim “reasonable fear” and the business owner gives a written demand not to post the video.

Plain and simple, California is trying to make it harder to expose fraud and scare individuals from investigating fraud in their communities, as they could be sued for an injunction to remove the video + forced to pay their attorney fees + minimum $4,000 in damages.

The Attorney General's wife, Mia Bonta, created this bill and is now trying to make it law. How is this not a conflict of interest?

5 years later only 300 hearing aids have been given out

That’s a cost of $76,666 per hearing aid

Retail costs for these same hearing aids is roughly $1,400

Gavin Newsom pushed lawmakers toward a state-run program instead of requiring private insurers to cover the pediatric hearing aids

If the retail cost is $1,400 and the state only provided 300, then that’s a cost of $420,000

Yet Gavin Newsom spent $23,000,000

I actually looked into where this money allegedly went, and officially it went to “administrative and overhead costs” instead of providing hearing aids

In other words, money laundering
