The Jigsaw strategy being used in social studies! Students met with their expert groups yesterday to share their chapter summaries and create a “perfect summary” to bring to their home group. 🧩

On day three of career day, fifth grade students learned all the ins and outs of nursing from Mrs. Karis. Then they learned what it takes to be a lead pastor by pastor Brad.

Day two of career day included Mrs. Sekkuna talking to our kids about entrepreneurship, and concluded with Mr. Carver discussing diesel mechanics.

Day one of Career Week was Monday. Ms. Tina came in to talk to the fifth graders about the career ultrasound sonography. The kids left understanding how sonography worked and even got to see real imaging of different healthy/diseased organs! #STEMcareers

Day 4 of Survivor week complete! It included word whomp- where students worked in teams to take the letters from the words ‘survivor science’ and turn them into as many other words as they could. We also finished the day with water games! #splash #Survivor2021

Our class is enjoying day 2 of Survivor week. They recorded the first 3 chapters of their class reading project, “Stranded” through illustrations and summaries. Everyone used collaborative grouping jobs to focus their task. #starkeisontherise
