Facts from the public record.
@zava55 This isn’t true unfortunately court docs don’t match up. This woman was never raped. All the court docs and ring video on my page. That’s why no one will touch this case. It’s 100% biased fake news.

@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman Also, the interesting thing is the official court documents never say rape that is something that William Gude came up with to help bring expose the case. Plaintiffs lawyers, accuse Espadas of sexual battery, sexual harassment and gender violence. Which begs the question, why?
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman Bottom line is, “legally” speaking the court documents exist they are real. You can’t just pick and choose tiny bits of a case and spin it as “rape” they’re are hundreds of documents all filled with testimony and real facts. No emotion, no political affiliation, no agenda.
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman I don’t think there was a cover up for this officer. They didn’t even represent him he was completely pro per and faced this with no lawyers backing him up and was still found not liable. The settlement was very minimal most likely covering her attorneys
Fees.
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman It was great talking about it, I appreciate good communication. I just hope I can shed light on this case and why it has its hurdles. Even though I understand the outrage, Screaming and cussing about it and calling someone a rapist out of sheer emotion isn’t the way.
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman I 100% agree his actions were very dumb and sleezy. But a power imbalance doesn’t constitute rape. If this happened ON duty then maybe but, it happened days later off duty. However, in a criminal court this will not hold up there is to much evidence of consent discovered.
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman There’s also a ring video where the “Victim” comes out in lingerie and hugs and kisses officer Espadas in her driveway. Again, if you have the mental capacity to choose lingerie after inviting someone over for sex that’s an uphill battle especially in criminal court.
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman As a defense attorney, they will ask. In the moment of the threesome with the plaintiff and the other woman. Was the plaintiff the only one getting “SA” during that moment? Did the other woman SA her as well? Did she consent to the other woman but not Espadas?
@HeroNotZeroOrg@cd4losangeles@nithyavraman What Espadas did was immoral and unbecoming of an officer and 100% against LAPD policy. Remember criminal court has a high burden of proof. And for Danielle Halyak there are to many holes in her story. Think of it this way, was the other woman in the threesome raped too?
