About a month out of surgery. Still have some healing to do. I had heart surgery and carotid artery surgery.

Good morning. Well today is going to be a stressful day depending on how everything goes. Any minute a crew will be coming in to prep me for this mornings procedure. Today I will have a heart cath where I know they are concerned with 3 arteries. The goal is to put a stint in those arteries. If they are unable to then today’s procedure was a failure and I’ll be transferred to a different hospital for open heart surgery for a bypass procedure.

However, if this morning procedure is successful tomorrow morning I will surgery to clear out the right Carotid artery which was the source of my stroke. But they can’t clear the artery until my heart has been cleared.

Today is Thursday. If all goes well I could be home as early as Saturday.

My focus right now is to get through this morning. Wish me luck.
