I’ve somehow ended up on a bbc crypto pundit list which means every time the price does anything nuts or there’s a scam that implodes I invariably get a call asking to come and talk about it.

Even if I say, I’m not really focused on this at the moment and there are others more informed than me - they still try to twist my arm to come on. Often they say stuff like “it’s just, it would be really nice to have a woman on this topic.”

At which point I usually say no thank you. Because the premise of inviting someone who is not an expert to fulfil a diversity quota is not just insulting TO ME it is plainly nuts.

They would rather publicly humiliate a woman to achieve their stupid quota than actually get someone who knows what they’re talking about because they’re male.
