This Haifa vs Opay saga, if her explanation is correct and there is no evidence to contradict it, she should hire a good lawyer, she will cash out like a boss.
Let me tell you a true life story. Iโll try my best not to give too many details, because I donโt want the person involved to know Iโm talking about them. ๐
I had this friend who was deeply in love with a guy. They dated for about two years. Now, it wasnโt that this guy didnโt have money or wasnโt capable of settling down. He simply wasnโt ready to take the relationship to the next level.
At some point, my friend got tired. She wanted the relationship to progress, and the guy told her, very clearly, that if she found someone who wanted to marry her, she should go ahead and marry him.
My girl came home that day and cried her eyes out. I remember how much she cried. But they didnโt immediately break up.
Because, as we all know, people donโt just stop loving someone because the relationship isnโt working anymore. But she had gotten the message.
Then another man came into the picture. He was based abroad, they started talking, they genuinely liked each other, and before long, they were discussing marriage. Within about six months, they were making plans to get married.
My friend decided to tell her former boyfriend about the relationship.
And that was when the man's behaviour changed completely. He became furious and decided he was going to punish her for moving on.
Jsyk, some men are vindictive like that, that's what I believe Blaqbones is up to.
There were n.udes that she had shared with him privately, and he threatened to expose them to her new man, even went as far as compiling them into a video.
Thankfully, he made the threat before actually doing anything, so I advised my friend to tell her new partner everything herself.
I told her, โTell him. Let him decide what he wants to do with the information. If he stays, good. If he leaves, then good riddance. But don't allow somebody else to use your past as a weapon against you.โ
And she told him.
Eventually, the former boyfriend followed through on his threat and sent the material to the new man.
He simply said, in essence, โLet me handle this.โ
He involved a lawyer and made it very clear that if the material was distributed any further, there would be legal consequences.
And that was the end of it.
The man deleted what he had and couldn't use it to destroy her life or her new relationship.
He tried other ways to create problems within our circle, but none of it worked.
Meanwhile, my friend and this new man got married, moved abroad, they have a child, and they're expecting another one.
A win is a win. Amen! ๐
And this is my point:
When a man genuinely wants you, he doesn't just tell you he loves you. He shows up. Completely.
He doesn't weaponise your past against you. He doesn't make you beg for clarity. He doesn't watch someone try to humiliate you and stand by doing nothing.
And before anyone misunderstands me, this is NOT me advocating for reckless living or saying your choices don't matter. I am actually a very conservative person, and anyone who knows me knows that. I have never sent nudes to any man dead or alive and I will never. Heck! I don't even have a sexual partner in a very long time, that's how strict I am.
My point is simply this: having a past does not make a person undeserving of love, respect and protection.
Some people are vindictive. Some people will try to use things you once trusted them with to hurt you.
But the right person won't join them in hurting you.
He will stand beside you, handle the situation wisely, and make it clear that your past is not a weapon he will allow anyone to use against you.
Can we share the grace in fellowship?
