@Sage_medics Bronchopneumonia more common for this age group: expect diffuse coarse crepitations. Maybe a systolic ejection murmur in the left sternal edges suggestive of an AVSD (a co-morb & risk factor 4 pneumonia in Down's), or a machinery murmur on the 2nd LICS, suggestive of PDA.
@Sage_medics A child with mongoloid facie suggestive of Down Syndrome, in obvious severe respiratory distress xterized by tracheal tugging, intercostal, & subcostal recession. Likely a severe case of pneumonia, as its incidence and severity is more in Down Syndrome patients. To R/O CHD.
