Red clover is often one of the first wildflowers to appear if you let the grass grow a bit longer – including along roadside verges. It's loved by bumblebees, honeybees and butterflies 🐝🦋 More wildlife-friendly plants to encourage: https://t.co/RTa437HgwL

Should councils give us an outdoor summer by:
☀️letting people drink in public
☀️letting foodtrucks operate freely
☀️giving restaurants cash for outdoor tables, etc
☀️organising outdoor events (eg movies)
☀️laying on socially distanced seating
☀️installing lots of portaloos

Woodchat Shrike, a tropical summer migrant from Africa. Recently spotted not far from our Donegal nature reserve. Breeds in wooded open areas but scarcely found this far north, usually clinging to the Iberian peninsula and the Mediterranean.
