This is not a Railway Platform.
This is a government-approved indoor waterfall experience.
Passengers pay for tickets, platform tickets, convenience fees, dynamic fares, cancellation charges and endless “service” charges and in return, they get rainwater falling inside the station like a bonus feature.
Railway stations are being advertised as world class, airport-like, redeveloped and modern.
Ground reality: roofs leaking, platforms flooding, passengers dodging water, and basic maintenance missing.
What is the point of shiny boards, LED lights and grand announcements if the roof cannot survive rain?
Indian Railways does not need more PR videos.
It needs waterproof platforms, safe electrical fittings, clean drainage, functional roofs and accountability for every contractor who turns public infrastructure into a swimming pool.
I have a VOTER ID card, but NO, it is not proof of citizenship.
I have a AADHAR card but NO, it is not proof of citizenship
I have a PAN Card, but NO, it is not proof of citizenship.
I have a PASSPORT but NO, it is not proof of citizenship.
So who will give me a CITIZENSHIP CERTIFICATE? A govt bureaucrat?
My question is simple: is the problem with the citizen, or with the Mai Baap State itself?😡
Here is historical evidence to show Suhrawardy Avenue was named after Dr. Hassan Suhrawardy, Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University & NOT anyone else. BJP’s hatred for Muslims overshadows necessity for basic research. Thanks @honubroto
India’s fertility rate has fallen below replacement for the first time in the country’s history, declining from a TFR of 2.3 to 1.9 in just a decade.
Delhi’s fertility rate now sits at 1.2, lower than Finland’s.

Just like Indian Railways ensures seats and regulated booking in First Class, AC, and Sleeper coaches, does it not also have a responsibility to ensure dignified and safe travel for people in General coaches?

8.30PM. The Big TS cluster between Chittoor and Kolar has slipped south west towards Krishnagiri.
Looks like the cold pool across NE Bengaluru and Malur did not allow the TS to come in.
That's how it goes.
Total Miss for Many areas across South-North Bengaluru, SE and East.

IMPORTANT WIND PATTERN CHANGE IN NEXT 36-48 HOURS
=============================================
The long-standing easterly flow that has dominated the past three weeks is set to weaken significantly. This well-established pattern across the Southern Peninsula, southern Bay of Bengal (BoB), and the Indian Ocean (IO) region is likely to break down over the next 36–48 hours. The shift appears to be arriving about a week earlier than usual.
The 850 hPa wind charts for today (26 April) and 28 April clearly show the seasonal easterlies being interrupted by strengthening southerly winds and the emergence of westerly flow across the southern Bay of Bengal, adjoining Indian Ocean, and western IO.
Typical progression:
-Weakened easterlies are normally observed across the Bay of Bengal in early to mid-May.
-By mid-May, westerlies usually begin flowing into the Andaman Sea, crossing southern Sri Lanka.
-The Southwest Monsoon (SWM) then sets in over Kerala by late May or early June.
This year, the transition is advancing earlier. Several models are indicating a potentially early SWM onset over Kerala, possibly between 23–25 May, similar to last year.
Key implications for Parts of South India:
For South Interior Karnataka (SIK), North Interior Tamil Nadu (NITN), Coastal Tamil Nadu (CTN), and South Interior Andhra Pradesh (SIAP), the next 4 weeks represent a critical transition phase. Roughly 18–22% of the annual rainfall occurs during this period.
The combination of weakened easterlies and unstable winds often leads to enhanced inland convergence, resulting in widespread pre-monsoon thunderstorm (TS) activity and seasonal rains.
Lets see how it works out!

"Feel summer is an emotion based on subjective experience rather than measurable objectivity."
No worries, it happens :)
