@APHOENlX โ dedicated for that plant. she had no life outside of work.. but she wasn't about to tell him that. "I've been alright. normal. nothing special. no caves collapsing." and a little shrug.
@APHOENlX The new found friendliness between the two of them was still odd to Vera; and while being nice to him was coming naturally to her now, she still had the urge to start picking whatever words would annoy felix most.
"hm?" her face crunched up; her entire week had been โ
@APHOENlX โ probably assumed everyone wishes they were scientists.
"I've had a few troubles with tests, but I think it's still all good. I'll have the final results by tomorrow!" oh the excitement on her face. "then, I would definitely be able to give you my ground-breaking discovery."
@APHOENlX "It's not ๐๐๐๐๐๐, brekker!" She shook her head, in all complete seriousness. though, her tone of voice still maintained its playful touch. "it's going to be big and you're going to be very sorry you're not a scientist." Vera, again, wagged a finger in his face; she โ
@APHOENlX โ she had put her teammates in; so she could only guess that perhaps Felix did keep his word and not reported her after all...
"Okay, I think I can take some time off to eat and hear all about your farm life."
@APHOENlX The offer surprised Vera. they were friends, alright, but they've never had lunch together. not even in middle school.
"I'm really busy, I still haโ" then she paused. the scientist had not heard ๐๐๐๐๐๐ mention that incident again.. no one seemed to recall the danger โ
@APHOENlX โ "Ran out of fun stuff to do, huh?" She'd thought he'd only said yes a week ago so he wouldn't sound rude, and to see him actually make the visit was a bit of a surprise to her.
@APHOENlX โ that would finally lock her theory in place.
The little tap on her shoulder had to zap her out of deep concentration that she almost jumped out of her chair.
Obviously, however, when Vera came out to meet him, he was greeted with arched eyebrows, and curious looks. โ
@APHOENlX โ about what he would report was still there. but she supposed her discovery could justify her actions... if it truly was what she thought it is, at least.
But for now, all she could do was wait for their vehicle to stop back in the colony.
@APHOENlX "It is. People should be appreciating science more." Vera spoke with the confidence she always had. Sure, her own little lab was very private to her... but this was a big deal, and whether Felix realised it or not, he was a part of this discovery.
Of course, the worry โ
@APHOENlX โ though they might go for the smaller ones." She was tempted to wink, but thought that to be inappropriate.
"anyways, you should come to my lab so I can update you on it. I think you'd find my discoveries interestingโ!" No one ever thought that, but oh well.
@APHOENlX Vera chuckled a long with her Captain, her cheery mood could definitely left up anyone's spirit.
"I guess there has to be a way. They'll figure it out, we can't go around risking our best scientists!" Looking back to him with a smug grin. "and the soldiers too of course, โ
@APHOENlX โ to find and hravestโbut I guess that wouldn't be my job." She brought her hands together. "what if they ๐๐๐๐ grow in tunnels? hmโwe'll need to figure a way to pick them out without almost getting ourselves killedโwhich also wouldn't be my job but." was she talking too fast?
@APHOENlX โ do live only in tunnels, with just little light... we need more of it, we really do." now her eyebrows were pulled close together in concentration, many different ideas running through her mind while she simply stared at their boots. "we need to learn how to plant them, how โ
@APHOENlX โand not die, but it possibly has some healing abilities; the colour, the texture, it's all indications for that. you'll see. once I prove it." She nodded firmly, oh so confidently.
@APHOENlX โ tempting to just pull out her papers and show him everything, but since she just could not, Vera decided to simply speak it all out.
"most things we've found so far were either poisonous or completely useless, but ๐๐๐๐โI think, not only will we be able to eat it โ
