Sad to hear of Richard Lachmann’s death, a towering figure in historical sociology. Time to go back to his work and think of his legacy. Thanks to George Souvlis for a brief tribute and links to Lachmann’s works https://t.co/xRVckY6Qsb

Today we are also missing @nounihussein on 'Reflections on beginning within Historical Sociology to theorize counterhegemony and praxis in the Arab World: A journey with Gramsci & Said' because of different events re-scheduling. Look forward to hearing your work another time!
Jessica was going to present on 'Conceptualising the camp: teaching through historical sociology' which would have ben an extremely important addition to the debates in dire need for more pedagogical discussions in #HSIR. We hope to hear about her work soon. Check her out!
I've had to withdraw from presenting today because nursery closures due to staff shortages mean I'm now seriously behind on my marking and have to prioritise that. Missed opportunity to network and further my own research @PregnantScrewed
@HawkinsJessicaR @PregnantScrewed Thanks for speaking out on this Jessica. We're really sorry you've had to make that choice and it's a real problem systemically. Your paper 'Conceptualising the camp: teaching through historical sociology' sounded amazing and we really hope we can hear it at some other point.
