We understand the bitcoin community is seeing more Bitkey content in your algorithm.
While our team is flattered, this is not a "psyop."
We have not changed our marketing in recent weeks. However, current events have led to many new people discovering, using, and discussing Bitkey as a solution to several common self-custody problems.
We will continue to help securely store your bitcoin as we have for years. We also reserve the right to tell people what we have built, what we are going to build, and why.
To our longtime customers, those who have just joined us, and those still exploring self-custody solutions, our team appreciates all your questions and comments.
Please keep the feedback coming.
Love my @Bitkey’s. The design gives me futuristic scifi vibes. Left one is previous version and I recently got the latest on the right with a screen now.
I always wanted to get a @Bitkey but never got around to do it so when @JoelBomgar sent me the sats to buy one I couldn't say no.
Here's my honest review:
The setup was extremely easy, took less than 5 minutes to go from opening the box to receiving my first sats, it's definitely the easiest hardware wallet out there.
The UI is world class, I could give this to my mother and she would have no problem setting it up.
The lack of a seed can be disorienting at first, but it made me question how much security we actually gain by forcing people to secure both a hardware device and a piece of paper containing 12 words. Probably not much.
Yes, there's a level of trust that you need to place in the bitkey team, but as we have seen from the colcard saga unless you build the wallet AND the software yourself, there's always some trust somewhere.
In short, bitkey should probably be the first step in your self-custody journey.
What if you could secure your Bitcoin without ever worrying about a seed phrase?
@Bitkey's @clay_garrett explains how it works — even if you lose your phone and the device.
Plus: what Block's engineers found investigating the #Coldcard attack, and whether the hacker left a trail.
