Held a meeting with the members of the State Level Empowered Committee on 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 at Janata Bhawan today and discussed key matters relating to the paper procurement, printing, transportation and distribution of free textbooks for the Academic Session 2027–28 and FY 2026–27.

The meeting also reviewed timelines for various activities, enrolment data management through U-DISE, Shiksha Setu and Darpan Portal, financial requirements for Elementary and Secondary Education, printing costs of newly introduced textbooks, and the development of e-books and other digital initiatives to strengthen textbook accessibility.

Officials were directed to ensure timely execution of all activities, maintain accuracy in data-driven planning, expedite digital initiatives, and take all necessary steps to ensure the seamless availability of quality textbooks to students across the State.
