"Why was I shot? Why was I killed? My only crime was believing in a better Kenya. I carried hope, not a weapon. I raised my voice, not my hand. Yet my dreams were cut short. Let my death not be forgotten. Let justice be done." 🕊️🇰🇪💔✊🏾
Exactly two years ago, a generation rose. They were young Kenyans armed not with weapons but smartphones, the national flag, and the Constitution. They were the Gen-Zs pushing for better governance and accountability.

A letter notifying the police of today’s peaceful march to Parliament marking the second anniversary of June 25th and stating that Kenyans will be marching countrywide, was delivered to Police Spokesman Michael Nyaga Muchiri by five lawyers.
Here is the video we recorded as the letter was handed over in the presence of former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, former Justice Minister and Senior Counsel Martha Karua, Professor of Law and Senior Counsel Kivutha Kibwana, Senior Counsel Gitobu Imanyara and Senior Counsel James Orengo.
The police had sufficient time to prepare to protect marchers and ensure that no goons infiltrate to harm protesters or loot businesses.
It is the duty of the police to protect lives and property for all and to arrest criminals. If any goons appear today and are not arrested, we shall know they are working for President Ruto.

A reminder that Eric Shieni was taken out by a snipper shot because he was running for his life. Unarmed, and trying to survive the chaotic streets messed up by Ruto's police the young man was killed in cold blood because we have a tone deaf regime. A regime that knows it all.

EBOLA is the most lethal contagious disease in the world. It has no treatment or vaccination.
Bringing Americans who are exposed to EBOLA to Kenya for whatever reasons is an act of HIGH TREASON as it exposes EVERYONE to extinction.
It must be opposed, resisted and overturned. No Ifs or Buts.

"The number one priority of our foreign policy is to protect the American people. We can not and will not allow any cases of Ebola to enter the United States" ~ Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State
Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi: US has got the Kenyan government to open up CDC facilities in Nairobi for monitoring and observing Americans coming out of DRC. Why are we allowing Americans coming from an area suspected to be with Ebola to come to Kenya when they can make a quarantine area in DRC?

They came. They learned. They conquered.
The Baraka 2025 Cohort is graduating, and we are making it a day to remember. Against all odds, from grit to greatness.
Joining us to celebrate is our incredible keynote speaker, Chisom Nwokwu @tech_queen who is a software engineer, author, and digital creator with a focus on big data and artificial intelligence. She has worked with top companies like Microsoft and Bank of America, developing scalable data systems and AI-driven solutions.

Come witness greatness in the making. 🎓✨
I’ve seen this table floating around predicting the death of jobs and the end of the world. While some parts are true, others do not make sense.
2020–2023 gave us hard data on no classroom + fully digital learning. Youth mental health worsened. Kids and adults need people. "Mental health problems in youth often go hand-in-hand with other health and behavioral risks like increased risk of drug use, experiencing violence, and higher risk sexual behaviors that can lead to HIV, STDs and unintended pregnancy."

Learning outcomes also fell sharply across countries and recovery is uneven.
AI tutors? yes ofc this is the future, but only on top of a solid in-person experience. I will never have my kids sit in front of a computer without seeing anyone IRL all day. Doesn't make any sense.
Software engineers no more! "Salesforce Will Hire No More Software Engineers in 2025" Says Marc Benioff. Well, guess what? https://t.co/woTsz0i6n9
Uber is dead! Well, smart money seems to think otherwise. The stock price is up 55% YTD.
Courts on AI autopilot in a few years! Have you heard of this little thing called regulation? :) Justice applications are treated as high-risk with required human oversight (EU AI Act), and countries are writing this into law.
At the end of the day, before you start panicking, keep a few things in mind:
- Press & social media: their game is clicks, not truth. Extreme headlines make you click, share, react. That’s why they push them. Don’t confuse virality with reality.
- For my AI & software engineers students: your job was never just typing lines of code. It’s about building software that solves real problems. AI is just another tool in your toolbox. Use it, get faster, get better, but the job is still the same. It can create code faster than you? Yes. But remember when you were copying and pasting from Stack overflow? Well, it's the same, without you having to search.
- Every industrial revolution wiped out some jobs and created even more. This one won’t be any different. New roles are coming, some we can’t even name yet.
So yeah, AI will change things. A lot! You’d be crazy to ignore it. So learn it, play with it, make it part of your routine and job. But don’t listen to the doomers. What’s the alternative anyway? Stop learning, give up, pretend the future will happen without you? No way.
This is one of the most exciting times for humanity. Relax, touch some grass, focus on opportunities, block the negativity, think for yourself, and build the future.
