The one on the right (Eric Johnson) changed his party affiliation to Republican after being re-elected as Mayor of Dallas (despite serving in the Tx lege as a Democrat)

The one on the left (John Whitmire) is an elected Democrat in the TXlege who is running for Mayor of Houston, who has taken money from MAGA republicans and cozys up to people like Greg Abbott.
