there’s nothing wrong at ALL with gay characters but I think diversity becomes meaningless when you make no effort to build these characters and give them meaning and substance in the world you have positioned them in!!!

i think a lot of the modern queer characters lack a lot of substance and instead being gay becomes the main focus point of most of their storyline. characters such as zoe tate or robert often had complex character building and traits that modern characters lack and it annoys me
