Today is #WorldKindnessDay 💖💙
Self-care is an important activity to do. Not just during BLAW, but in our daily lives too.
Here are some tips for you:
☺️ it’s okay to just take one day at a time
💙 do something to feel connected to your baby
🥗 eat and drink mindfully
During #BabyLossAwarenessWeek, I spoke in Parliament about my constituents Sherena and Jack and their daughter Maia.
Maia’s death was preventable, and caused by outdated, unsafe practices at Kingston Hospital and growth monitoring that diverged from national standards.
Earlier @MichelleWelshMP asked the Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer about maternity safety.
We were pleased to hear last week’s #BabyLoss debate mentioned and a recognition of how sharing personal experiences drives change.
We welcome his commitment to improve maternity safety ⬇️
Today, the Spinnaker Tower is glowing pink and blue to mark the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week. 💗💙
All around us, even if we don’t always see it, there are parents and families who carry the pain of losing a baby.

Thank you for spending the last hour with us, and the wider baby and pregnancy loss community, as we lit a candle and remembered all babies gone too soon 🕯️

Their support means so much and will go such a long way in helping us raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.
For all the babies who are always shining, never forgotten ❤️🕯️
We’re coming together with families around the world to create a global #WaveOfLight, honouring the lives of much-loved babies.
