Join me! Tomorrow (Saturday, March 9) at 10 AM in Árnagarður 304 - I will be talking about my research on the state of teaching right here at the University of Iceland and how we can better support our staff AND students.
You know you wanna get up early on a Saturday.
Join me on Thursday, January 4 to get ready to teach in Spring semester at Háskóli Íslands! All teachers (and future teachers) welcome!

@VoicesByZane You have one or two follow up visits as your eyes heal to check that they are doing so correctly (not months - where are you getting this?). Then you are free of expensive appointments, glasses, and new frames for decades. It's worth it.
If you're working or have worked as a teacher in the School of Humanities at the University of Iceland (any department or level of employment), please take my survey about how we can support teachers better at HÍ!
Thank you!

@Ragrfisk@sstarkm I'd recommend anything from Massimo Montanari, for example: Food is Culture (2004), The Culture of Food (1993), and Medieval Tastes: Food, Cooking, and the Table (2015). There's also Melitta Weiss Adamson's Food in Medieval Times (2004) and The Medieval Cook by Maggie Black.
Our partner in the session had to drop out suddenly. Is anyone working on something which may fit this session at IMC Leeds 2023? We'd love to hear from you by Monday, September 26!
Fróði said something about fire-hardening being one of our first methods of making long-lasting tools. He said it while stirring the curry with a wooden spoon which has blackened edges from years of use. Now I'm thinking about early cooking utensils and processes. DAMN IT, BRAIN!
I just received an e-mail for a conference I thought I had already done and don't remember. Apparently it was delayed and will now be held in person in Uppsala this summer? And then I'm supposed to immediately head off to the intellectua-circus which is IMC?
Shit, shit, shit...
Tell me the truth - is an ORCID actually useful? I'm so tired of having a CV and then ALSO having to put all my information everywhere because social media is trying to "protect" my "information."
