🇺🇸🇪🇺🇺🇦 I had the honor to provide Congressional testimony to U.S. Senate & House Members of the @HelsinkiComm.
It’s time for @NATO leaders to turn the tables on Putin’s shadow war & move from Russia’s Summer of Sabotage, to NATO’s Autumn of Action.
My opening statement:
🚢🛢️⚠️I joined @philgayle on @dwnews for a deep dive on the ongoing drama of the Druzhba pipeline over which Hungary continues to block vital aid to Ukraine and the broader interplay of this saga with the state of maritime security threats posed by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz:
The victory of the opposition in Hungary and thus the end of @PM_ViktorOrban is one of the most important things for ending the Russian imperialist war in Ukraine and defeating Russia in this war. No one in Europe supports terrorist Russia and criminal Putin as much as Orban!
Normalising relations with Russia while it kills Ukrainians is not diplomacy. It is surrender.
Relying on cheap Russian energy was a strategic mistake. Europe learned that the hard way.
This is not the time to blink. We must stay the course on Ukraine.
Sean, thanks to you, we know what a true friend of Ukraine is.
You have stood with Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale war.
This is still true today.
And we know that you will continue to stand with our country and our people.
Here is the Churchill quote on working with allies. It is smart to strengthen alliances not undermine and discredit them. The U.S. is stronger when NATO is strong and cohesive.
Sean Penn missed the Oscars ceremony where he received an Oscar, and went to Ukraine instead.
Thank you for standing with Ukraine, Sir! Congratulations!

"The way in which Moscow has manifested these incidents is to try to ensure that it was just an accident or make it very difficult to attribute even if it seems like it was intentional," @BLSchmitt

Congress should vote on this anyway. We have waited too long. The vast majority support Ukraine and oppose Russia’s aggression. We are an independent branch and we should act like it.

🇺🇸🇪🇺🇨🇦🇺🇦Nobody should be surprised that “Bridge” has frozen arms to Ukraine after spending the last three years itching for such an outcome in this very platform.
Global democracies need to keep up the pace - more heavy weapons to Ukraine now! For example: 🇩🇪 send the Taurus!
#Ukraine has shown the guts, let’s keep backing ‘em up!
#ArmUkraineNow
Global democracies shouldn’t get in the self-defeating habit of talking ourselves into weary off-ramps due to “Ukraine fatigue”
Our goal instead?
Policies to give the #Kremlin “Ukraine fatigue” by arming #Ukraine & deploying sanctions so it relents in its criminal aggression
#ArmUkraineNow
Elbridge Colby made a big stink when he was out of government about the need for the U.S. to focus on Asia. Now one Asian dictatorship is deploying more troops to Europe to fight a U.S. ally. MAGA conceits come to dust easily.
