NEW: New York police officers were caught on camera getting assaulted by a group of illegal immigrants in the city.

The incident happened after the officers visited a migrant shelter at 455 Jefferson St. in East Williamsburg.

The officers had stormed the shelter to crackdown on illegal mopeds.

Six illegals were arrested and three were charged with assaulting an officer.
