اجتمع بافل جلال طالباني رئيس الاتحاد الوطني الكوردستاني في البنتاغون، مع دانيال شابيرو نائب مساعد وزير الدفاع الامريكي للشرق الاوسط.

وخلال الاجتماع الذي حضره درباز كوسرت رسول مسؤول مكتب العلاقات، تم التباحث حول الاوضاع الامنية والمخاطر التي تهدد الامن والاستقرار في المنطقة، اكدا توسيع التنسيق من اجل حماية السلام ومواجهة الارهاب.

وحول دور الولايات المتحدة الامريكية وقوات التحالف في المنطقة، قال الرئيس بافل جلال طالباني: ننظر بأهمية الى استمرار التنسيق وانجاح حوارات الاتفاق بين الولايات المتحدة والعراق، ويجب ان نقوم معاً بمواجهة مخاطر وتهديدات الارهاب.

وحول الجهود الرامية لتوحيد وبناء قوات وطنية محكمة، قال الرئيس بافل جلال طالباني: نثمن عالياً مساعدات الولايات المتحدة الامريكية والتحالف الدولي، ونتمنى ان يكونوا مساعدين وداعمين في المستقبل لتحقيق هذا الهدف السامي وحماية السلام والامن في المنطقة.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met with Daniel Shapiro, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East, in The Pentagon.

In the meeting, which was attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Head of the Relations Bureau, the two sides discussed the security situation and threats to security and stability in the region and emphasized the expansion of coordination in order to maintain peace and continue the fight against terrorism.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani highlighted the role of the United States and coalition forces in the region and said, “we attach importance to the continuation of coordination and the success of the agreement talks between the United States and Iraq.’ And he emphasized that we must all confront the threat of terrorism.

Regarding the efforts to unite and build a strong national force, President Bafel expressed his appreciation for the support from the United States and the international coalition forces, he added “we hope to continue to cooperate and coordinate in order to achieve the higher goal of maintaining peace and stability in the region.”
