During another period people waited in immovable lines, faced billy clubs and cattle prods, in order to register and vote. Have courage, raw courage, and let nothing stop you from exercising your right to vote in this election. Do your part. Vote. #GoodTrouble
This #ElectionDay is the chance to make a difference in our government, to fight unjust policies, to protect civil rights, and to ensure liberty and justice for all.
Go #vote!
It’s hard to believe this journey started nearly nine months ago. The polls open in less than 10 hours. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has donated their time, resources and energy to getting us to today. We have one last thing to do — now, we vote.
I have been beaten, my skull fractured, and arrested more than forty times so that each and every person has the right to register and vote. Friends of my gave their lives. Do your part. Get out there and vote like you’ve never voted before. #vote#goodtrouble
November 6th is a chance for ALL Americans to make their voices heard and participate in an important political process that will affect your everyday life. Whether your frustrated or content about the policies my colleagues & I propose -- #VOTE!
Young people are more concerned about their access to health care & an affordable, quality college education than the Pres inviting a certain rapper into the Oval Office to discuss the need for an ‘“IPlane.”
This November #vote to show Trump & all Americans the power of Gen Z!
When Anita Hill testified in '91, I was at the baby shower for my first child. She's now 27. She called me after this presentation: “I don’t want to tell my daughter in 27 years that her grandmother & mother have been fighting the same battles." https://t.co/FFuiaT6dLM
We ended the evening last night with the @BMCdemocrats for a round table discussion on running for office, policy and what’s at stake under this administration. I am so energized by this generation and their active participation in our democracy. Thank you for having me!
Thank you for everyone who came to our event last night and thank you to @AnneWakabayashi for coming to speak with us about getting more diverse women in politics!
Michelle and I are so inspired by all the young people who made today’s marches happen. Keep at it. You’re leading us forward. Nothing can stand in the way of millions of voices calling for change.
We are fortunate to be able to engage in thoughtful discussions about difficult subjects at the Community Day of Learning.
Remember there is always #mawr2learn@BrynMawrCollege
President Trump talked a whole lot about the black unemployment rate, but has his aides misinformed–yet again—he should know black unemployment has decreased PRIOR to his presidency. Again, #ThanksObama.
We're now officially in the second year of the Trump presidency – and the government just shut down.
This is an absolute testament to the chaos and lack of leadership emanating from the White House and the congressional Republicans who enable @realDonaldTrump. #TrumpShutdown
This is a remarkably idiotic way to admit you’ve taken 10 million children and young people hostage in order to advance your terrible political agenda.
But here we are. Brave leadership, pal. https://t.co/b9gsc82Q6C
All across America people chose to get involved, get engaged and stand up. Each of us can make a difference, and all of us ought to try. So go keep changing the world in 2018.
