Grant moved his army very offensively, this would effect southern moral and resources. His countless pushes took tolls on the south.

Lincoln saw the proclamation as a military action and it didn't free a lot of slaves it only was for moral support #justanotherboots

Gettysburg contained 10 different roads which would be valuable to both sides. It was also a major turning point for the Union at this point

I learned that there isn't just a single monument for all of the people that died but there is a monument for every regiment #amuricanism
