Among other proposed changes, Trump's order would have required people to provide documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote, prevented mail ballots from being counted if they arrive after Election Day, even if they were postmarked by then, and punished states that failed to comply by withholding certain federal money.

The president and many of his Republican allies have been promoting the narrative that voting by noncitizens is a major problem, when in fact it's quite rare. The federal voter registration form already requires people to attest that they are U.S. citizens, and violating that is punishable as a felony that can lead to prison or deportation.

In case you needed any more evidence as to how stupid and gullible Trump fans are, a new conspiracy theory is circulating Twitter that is supposed to explain why there’s algae in a Reflecting Pool that has always had algae in it.

The culprit? Antifa, of course.

An account called John McAfee News posted the following on Tuesday morning:

“FBI JUST RAIDED AN ANTIFA STORAGE UNIT IN DC AND UNCOVERED A FULL FUCKING CHEMICAL WEAPONS LAB — SIX DIFFERENT KINDS OF AGGRESSIVE ALGAE, FIVE PAINT-STRIPPING PEPTIDES, AND AN ULTRASONIC GROW LAB READY TO POISON THE CITY’S 46 OTHER POOLS AND FOUNTAINS!”

This, of course, did not happen, but that didn’t stop the MAGATs from retweeting it nearly 10,000 times.
We know these people are knuckle-dragging morons who will immediately hand over their wallets to the Wallet Inspector, but every once in a while you see something so heinously stupid it takes your breath away.

Remember, these people can vote. We need to make sure our votes outweigh theirs.
