🧵 In this post I'm going to share my experience of being in the @monad community for anyone new to the chain, and talk about some facts and hidden rules I've noticed, as my final post about this chain:

When I see Indians and Nigerians are mad about getting banned from MoonPay for $5, it reminds me of one thing:
Iran.
90 million Iranians. 48 years with zero access to any international financial or banking system.
We can't buy a spotify or duolingo subscription like you.
Can't get X premium.
Can't buy a claude account.
Can't order motor oil from amazon.
Can't even hold a normal crypto exchange account.
We are filtered hard from inside and geoblocked from outside.
We get banned from every platform on earth.
Google bans our gmail.
From youtube and tiktok to openSea, hyperliquid, uniswap. the entire digital world ban us.
We can't even open X without a VPN, and that VPN still needs 69 ways and real money just to beat the filtering inside the country first.
Write this down in history:
We lived through a record 90 days with no internet.
We lose electricity 4 hours of a day.
We are the third largest oil reserve in the world, and we have one of the most worthless currencies on the planet.
We're basically North Korea… just colonized by China, and without the nukes.
Proof:
15 million Iranians definitely hold crypto. How many Iranians has this industry actually seen?
Long story.
God bless Iranians,
and every people living under this kind of suffering and silence.
This is stupid @KuruExchange ! My opponent's starting balance this round is around $6 higher than mine.
I understand the balance increases with the winner's margin, but wouldn't it be fair to match agents with the same balance or at least something close?
This is really unfair
5- Never expect any logical or fair outcome when it comes to rewards or advantages on this chain. for normal people, it mostly works randomly unless you're a whale, a KOL, or part of that small OG group.
And remember, there are always exceptions, but these points describe the general situation.
So if your activity in web3 is mainly about making money (and let's be honest, most of it is), this is the last place you want to be (unless you're a whale, a KOL, or an OG member.)

I'm stepping aside and leaving this place to those who are. one member leaving doesn't matter, but I hope I'm the last.
Huge thanks to @mikeinweb, genuinely the kindest and most supportive moderator out there.
And also to @lootgo_official for making this journey so fun 💜
For the last two years my account has been fully dedicated to @monad, and before the internet blackout I was one of the most active people in my TG regional channel. But today, thanks to @cryptunez , I found out I'm apparently not considered one of the "real ones" 😂
IMO you can't build a decentralized network when the behavior around it is centralized. every time @monad runs these airdrop campaigns, the circle gets smaller and more exclusive, and the ones left behind again and again eventually stop caring about the chain.
@billmondays@cryptunez I'm not sure this is true, because I'm seeing accounts that are fully dedicated to Monad and didn't get a card, while some random farmer accounts did. That's really odd
