my understanding is the technology to do this safely and effectively isnt there yet by alot
and irreversible unsafe methods should not be used before age 25 which on average is when human biochemistry claims the prefrontal cortex, the last part of the brain to develop, on average, comes online.
its responsible for planning, long term thinking, doing the hard thing such as resisting urges etc.
if we go and ask actual biology and common sense, 25 should be the age alot of things should start happening, however, its tough to say, ask everyone to not have sex or vote or etc by 25.
but, what if the whole idea is to do those things as soon as possible, way before 25, such that these experiences inform the quality of the development of the prefrontal cortex. because its like saying, should we stop using our brains cus they are not fully online yet? probably not. but maybe sex or voting isnt the same as potentially unchangeable and catastrophic surgeries and hormone/biochemical disruptions we dont fully yet understand

btw noone will probably read this, im wondering if you did, would you advocate that i fix my writing style to match the "normal" for readability, or maybe its an "iq" test for people to have to try abit harder but get for free badass philosophical information?
