At the community level, we facilitated an inclusive, community led process that resulted in the adoption of a protective byelaw in Igbo Imabana community of Cross River State, Nigeria in 2023.
Since its adoption, this byelaw now safeguards over 5,000 women and girls.
Two years ago, during the 16 Days of Activism, we partnered with the University of Calabar Student Union Government to raise awareness on witchcraft branding, accusations and killing of the elderly, women, and children in Southern Nigeria, reaching over 8,000 people.
During the outreach, a youth voiced his thought:
“I saw a young child that was tied and set on fire. Lots of people gathered around, but instead of helping her, they were cheering and celebrating. I could not believe what I was seeing.”
The case has been adjourned to September, but our resolve is stronger than ever.
We also disbursed ₦500,000 to Toyin’s mother to support and grow her small business as part of our plan for her economic empowerment.

Court Update📢
On the 30th of July, 2025, we showed up once again in court for the ongoing rape case of our survivor.
It was tough, tears were shed, pleas were made, and emotional pressure followed after the session.
We stood our ground, committed to one thing: Justice.
