@ISRAELFA There's a genocide occurring against the innocent Palestinian people. Masterminded and carried out by Israel. Not many people like this and you have to expect such deserved vitriol when your clubs play on the international stage. Surely you'd be used to it by now.
There are nights when sport becomes far bigger than sport. Tonight is one of those nights.
Tonight, GKS Katowice faces Hapoel Tel Aviv, a club representing the genocidal Israeli state and the evil Zionist system behind it. A state that should have no right to enjoy the privilege and legitimacy of UEFA competitions while carrying out occupation, genocide, the killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, and the theft of people’s homes, lands, their countries, their heritage, their past, and their future.
Israel is not a European country. It is geographically located in Asia. Yet Israeli clubs continue to enjoy a protected position inside European football because powerful governments such as the USA, Germany, England, and France have repeatedly provided Israel with extraordinary political protection and influence. Call it what it is. Political muscle. Political protection. A disgraceful double standard.
Zionism does not become respectable because somebody puts a football shirt over it. Occupation does not become acceptable because UEFA plays an anthem before kickoff. The suffering of Palestinians does not disappear because politicians and sporting authorities prefer silence.
GKS Katowice, tonight you are playing for far more than three points and advancement to the next round.
You carry the hopes and prayers of millions who have lost loved ones, homes, land, dignity, and futures under the evil and horrific actions of the Israeli state and its brutal machinery of occupation.
Carry their voices onto that pitch. Carry their anger. Carry their pain. Carry their hope. Make them feel it. Make the stadium shake. Make every tackle, every sprint, every challenge, and every goal a statement. Make the result impossible to ignore.
Poland is watching. Millions around the world are watching. Feel their energy. Feel their prayers. Know what this night represents and know exactly why so many people are standing behind you. Play with courage. Play with fury. Play without fear.
Good luck, GKS Katowice.
And Yeah.... Free Palestine. Long Live Iran!
@KevDoyle_Indo Personally I think this would be a genius way to wangle free parking in town. Bring your own clamp. Get a prime parking spot and clamp your car! No way you'll lose your spot!
@IsraelSoccerGuy@WestHam He’s a supporter of the genocide occurring in Palestine. He deserves derision and hatred by hammers fans at the very least. There should be no place for genocide support in society.
@PaddockPreview Great jockey no doubt but comes across like a bollox. I do understand that jockeys need to get back to weigh in but being nice costs nothing.
@DFrankcom Yesterday's trixie was fantastic. I do like Wall Street today (each way) but happy to see the 4 short priced ones you like as I'd happy to give them a go too!
@RobLooseCannon She was a ex student of the school I was in and there were posters everywhere for her Atlanta Olympics journey. I did my leaving cert that year so I'm not sure if the wallowing was still there after she received her ban.
@brodders_be Had him in a trixie that gave me 2/3. Delighted but this performance stole the show. Reminds me of See The Fire's debut performance (maybe not debut).
