@visitnorthyork What is there to settle? It’s whatever one’s personal preference is. I prefer mushy peas, my brother likes beans and my sister prefers nothing.
@ElenaBee0 There are just two genders; male and female.
There are, however, lots of mental illnesses and anyone who disagrees with the above statement has at least one of them.
@Humbertotexas10@WorkElizab If everyone, as in the whole population, were to just stay at home and not go out to dine, it wouldn’t be long before restaurant owners were forced to pay their staff an honest wage.
I realise that waiting staff would suffer in the short term but it would be worth it.
@MelissaRTodd Well at least that well known European country Australia didn’t win it. The cost of getting all involved to Sydney next year wouldn’t be worth it, especially, no doubt, the UK would have come last.
@BethanieElliot@MilleyMich39119 You aren’t old enough to have seen anything like that. That was in the early sixties when prison guards were brutal and nearly immune from any repercussions
@ClownWorld I’m a Brit so I’m confused. If it’s not a tip or gratuity, what is the service charge for? An extra way to line the owner’s pockets?
In the UK I always refuse to pay a service charge and give tips, if deserved, directly to my server.
@MistressSisi1 I would much prefer your use of pegs. I am intrigued though to know where the expression pegging derives from, bearing in mind no pegs are used
