This is getting ridiculous. At what point does fair critique become just harping. Why is she acting like she owns of the story? It’s a fucking movie and folks are having a good time experiencing it. If you don’t like it, get a freaking library card and pick up Emily’s book and move on. Ugh.
Y’all are so exhausting
Having watched #Spiderman BRAND NEW DAY, I kinda felt a personal connection to this movie. Becoming dormant in comfort, knowing one’s strength but holding back for fear the discomfort that comes with greatness, fearing change that we know is necessary for growth.
Peter Parker’s over-reliance on Stark tech has been a main source of frustration with MCU spidey for me. The tech has always held him back from reaching his full potential and the way this film tackled that was excellent.
To watch Peter finally get out of his own way and becoming THE SPIDER-MAN was genuinely inspiring. “I could learn a thing or two from this”, I thought to myself with a mouth full of popcorn.
Truly an emotional experience.
This is what Superhero films should be doing. This is why I loved #Superman 2025 and this is why I fuck with #TheBatman. It’s not just whether the characters pack a punch in a fight. It’s about what they represent. Hope, Perseverance and Kindness and how these symbols can make us better humans
Kinda saw this coming. And it’s annoying. At the risk of pissing some y’all off… comic-book movie fans really have no taste. Just punchy punchy stuff with no substance and meaningless cameos. This is why they look down on y’all. 🫠
Checked out #Callofmylife ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️in theatres yesterday which turned out to be a fine idea. It’s a quirky romcom that deviates slightly from the classic Nollywood romance clichés. A very well put together plot, great dialogue and excellent comedic timing (and not the cheap kind)
I’ve often asked why Nigerian music videos are visually more interesting than the movies? What if the cinematographers are brought into feature length films.
Well I got my wish! Because this film is the direct result of a Music video director (@DammyTwitch ) transitioning to feature. The cinematography is gourgeous. Great use of light and colour with meticulously curated sets and locations.
The only beef I had with this film is the music. When the music is afrobeat, it feels more in-sync with the aesthetic than when it brings in western sounds.
Anyway, go check it out if you can.
You’re having a completely different conversation my friend.
I’m going to try one more time…
It’s not about what Grace thinks that i’m talking about, she has every right to criticize. This is about the fact that it always results in the same back and forth every-time. The fans do things that are totally uncalled for, but she fans the flames by mocking them like the meme above. It never ends.
I think it’s unnecessary. Just leave them be.
@Ands14@GraceRandolph Is that literally not the point I just made? Are we seriously doing all of these over a trailer?
The fans who want the movie are excited. There’s no need mocking them.
To be the richest person in the world and yet, the poorest in common sense.
When you start having petty squabbles over the historical accuracy of a fictional poem adapted by a filmmaker who doesn’t even have a phone.
What stage of insecurity is that?
