Work has also begun on recreating XT597’s electrical panel door, with new hinges to be fabricated to complete the reconstruction.

In June 2026 Phantom XV490’s cockpit will be leaving the Newark Air Museum to join the group’s Phantom airframe collection at Cotswold Airport. We would like to thank the Newark Air Museum for providing a safe, secure home for the cockpit for over the last decade.
A much‑delayed note of thanks to former Phantom aircrew member Graham McKay generously donated this stabilator bolt to BPAG so it could be used as a template for future manufacturing if needed.
If you have any items tucked away email the Group Secretary at [email protected]
Another successful Open Weekend has wrapped up, and the senior management team would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated volunteers who generously gave their time to help. Without this invaluable support, our work would be far more challenging.
@MrJamesMay If you want something really ugly, may we offer you an open invite to the British Phantom Aviation Groups HQ at Cotswolds Airport where you can see what two jet engines attached to a brick looks like! @BPAGofficial
