3/ Ray Dalio's First Principles Thinking Framework
I consider this the Bible of problem-solving.
• Understand the big picture and the details
• Identify the cause-effect relationships
• Develop principles for decision-making
Debris flows
stops pilgrims and travelers
reminding their own power after death—
the force of life from death,
like imbibed deadwood
or the fossil from our forefathers,
buried by either earthquakes or landslides,
turned into fuel that drives our journeys.

From fragile mountains,
debris blocks the East-West Highway—
not a sudden obstruction,
but the force of hidden water underground,
now upheaving.
With the onset of monsoon rains,
the dry roots imbibe water,
swelling with life after three seasons of thirst.
Scorching sun boils the water
in soil and dead roots,
creating vapor and latent heat
that upheaves the ground,
like tears upheave stony hearts.
