Yesterday I heard that my local church (where I ring the bells) has appointed our new Rector.
Certainly unexpected that he is an actual Regency dancing master! With a love for lego. It's going to be an interesting journey. 😃

@davewalker Nice! I have a Dahon P24 Impulse folder. It has the same 24 speed SRAM dual drive and tyres. I admit that I more often use my e-folder now, but I can't bring myself to sell the Dahon. Plus it's far lighter than the e-bike which is sometimes useful. And I just like it! @DahonBikes

@samhailes Not sure I can pick a top read of 2022. I know however that I'm enormously grateful for the gift of reading, books, and storytelling. (Fiction and non-fiction.)
My life would be greyer and bleaker without books.

@samhailes Or in the case of DPD they deliver HALF my delivery to my own front door. Not on the day they said they would. Then they take the other half (because they 'couldn't deliver it'????) to a NEIGHBOURING TOWN because that, apparently, is the greenest way to do it. Hmm.

Though if you ever watch anything broadcast during the afternoon, you'll see that the marketing gurus clearly consider that anyone 50+ only ever thinks or talks about funeral plans, life insurance, or mobility aids.

I'm in that distressing situation of being three chapters into a book by an author whose previous books I've absolutely LOVED and given rave reviews to...
... and I don't like the new one. 😟

@vahva Yes. It had a bad impact on trying to work, so I severely restricted my news/media intake and have tried to focus on the positive things in my life as much as possible and to avoid getting drawn in to negative conversations I don't need to be part of (especially online).
