This might be the most prescient statement ever made. Wish he was around to witness Americans finally starting to wake up to all this Gov & media bullshit:
A couple of points I think you’re overlooking about whole life (I’m not an insurance salesman but I do own a few policies from Guardian Life).
You have to think of whole life as a recurring contribution to your fixed-income portfolio. Guardian Life’s current portfolio is allocated 92% to fixed income generating an annual 5.2% yield which ultimately funds your policy dividend. The policy dividends average around 4%. Essentially, you’re buying a fixed-income portfolio wrapped with LIFE LONG life insurance. Remember the longest term life policy you can buy is 40 years, which is almost impossible to get after 40 years of age.
The only honest comparison is buying 40-year term and investing the premium difference in a fixed income ETF. This has to be done consistently over 40 years which takes extreme discipline. Also, that ETF would have to be in an IRA to receive the same tax benefits and creditor protection of the whole life policy. Plus, those ETF contributions would be subject to the annual retirement account maximum. I agree that, over long periods, a disciplined investor will often come out ahead financially with term insurance and investing the difference in a low-cost fixed income ETF. But you’re giving up some meaningful benefits of whole life, including permanent lifelong coverage, no IRS contribution limits, tax-deferred growth outside of retirement accounts, an income tax-free death benefit, and creditor protection. The biggest downsides of whole life is the first year premium basically goes 100% to the agent as a commission and the overhead of running a life insurance company is much higher than a ETF. Otherwise, the annual whole life premium is basically just funding a fixed income portfolio, minus the actual life insurance cost.
They played this AI arms race absolutely perfectly. The ultimate goal is to host an extensive and personalized LLM on the iPhone and only call out to DC's for very difficult asks. Best part is they have a 20 year head start on making the silicon required to make this all happen. Stock is going to rip.
@MacRumors@MacRumorsShow It obvious the ultimate goal is to host a full personalized LLM on the iPhone and only call out to a datacenter for very difficult asks. Best part is they have a 20 year head start on making their own silicon to make this happen. Stock could rip from here.
@Polymarket Apple played it perfectly - host a personalized LLM on the iPhone and only call out to a datacenter for very difficult asks. Best part is they have a 20 year head start on making their own silicon to make this all happen. $AAPL could rip from here = $750/share in 18 months.

@realEstateTrent It’s amazing high schools don’t teach a full financial literacy test. I bet 100% of high school students in my community don’t know the difference between the mortgage and the promissory note and the majority of them will buy a house in their lifetime.
@TMFAssociates This high voting interest in SpaceX will allow Musk to merge with Tesla and give him total control of both companies. I think he deeply regrets not having majority voting control of Tesla.
Please focus the new Siri for true productivity. It should be everyone's highly trained personal assistant. Examples, just to name a few:
1) Book flights and hotel for my family of 6 within seconds with all the correct information (frequent flyer #'s etc) plus suggest a curated itinerary.
2) Suggest instant auto replies to email/texts and one click Teams meeting based on exchanges.
3) Clean up my contacts based on the latest email signatures.
4) Oversee my financial accounts, create and manage budget, make suggestions, look for fraud, etc..
5) Send flowers. Book dinner reservations within seconds
6) Order groceries or takeout based on previous orders.
7) Recommend and buy something on Amazon
8) Act as a personal trainer, chef, and nutritionist.
9) Read me a tailored news briefing every morning.
10) Send out requests for quotes/bids for landscaping, home repairs etc...
This obviously requires deep integration with other apps. Hope partnerships with United, Delta, Marriott, DoorDash, uber, Amazon, Instacart are in the works. The real opportunity is not “Hey Siri, set a timer.” It is “Siri, handle this.” A real personal assistant in your pocket.
Apple really needs to focus Siri for true productivity - not novel photo creation and recipe suggestions. It should be everyone's highly trained personal assistant. I really hopeful can do the following by the end of the year:
1) Book flights and hotel for my family of 6 within seconds with all the correct information (frequent flyer #'s etc) entered with a curated itinerary.
2) Offer up instant auto replies to email/texts and one click Teams meeting based on exchanges.
Yes, a lot of this requires deep integration with other apps. But that should have been the entire point of this year's WWDC. United, American, Delta, Marriott, OpenTable, Instacart, DoorDash, Amazon, and others should have been fully integrated for this announcement.
The real opportunity is not “Hey Siri, set a timer.” It is “Siri, handle this.” A real personal assistant in your pocket.
Others: Order groceries and take out in seconds, make recommendations and order on Amazon, read me a summary of latest news stories every morning, personal training coach, chef/nutritionist(log calories). Also, since all data is locked I would be open to having the microphone on at all times so Siri can anticipate my next move. Example: I see you and your wife are discussing using a new landscaper. Would you like me to email and call local landscapers (yes Siri would actually call listed numbers and say this is Joe B’s Siri and he would like a quote for mowing at 123 Main st)
Apple really needs to focus Siri on true productivity. Siri needs to be everyone’s highly trained personal assistant. Actually book a flight/hotel for my family of six in 90 seconds, offer immediate responses to emails/texts, propose one click calendar appts based on exchanges, offer to clean up contacts list based on latest email signatures, quickly send flowers and book reservations, etc… I know a lot of this requires other apps but those should have already been integrated. Example: United, American, Delta, Marriott should have been fully on board on day 1.
@DanielM65604046@jandreini1 Shows you the value of $COST when people are seriously arguing that eminent domain should be used to get a Costco built. Maybe next we codemn land to build a Dollar General and Popeyes. Ha
