Today's relaunch day for Beckenham Place Park. Festivities start at midday by which time the sun should be out! Please don't drive if you plan to go as there's no parking on site today and little available in nearby roads.
Join the Friends on The Cator Trail tomorrow afternoon, starting at 2pm from the Mansion. We'll walk through the park to St. George's Churchyard to see the Cator tomb & also a tour inside the church. Then onto Kelsey Park if you have the stamina!
The Friends are leading a walk in BPP on Friday. Meet at 7pm at the Mansion steps. It's a lovely time of day to visit the park, although it must be said that the weather forecast isn't the best! Umbrellas at the ready we can have a look at the lake and progress at the Homesteads.
The only swimming going on in the lake today, a delightful duck family - Mum and eleven ducklings. The water level has been slowly rising over the last few days, courtesy of the aquifer borehole; a bit to go yet before it's ready for the rest of us.

The Friends will be leading a winter stroll around Beckenham Place Park tomorrow. Open to all and free. Meet at 11am at the Mansion steps. The weather should be sunny! Will walk on paths but as park is very muddy, wear sturdy shoes.
If you are visiting the park on Sunday, please call into the Visitor Centre and say hello. We are open from 12 until 3.30. Plenty of history, both natural and heritage and lots to keep the kids interested.
The Bromley branch of the RSPB is hosting a free guided walk in Beckenham Place Park tomorrow morning. Good opportunity to see some winter visitors like redwing and fieldfare. Meet at the Mansion steps at 9.30am. All welcome including well behaved dogs. Wrap up warm!
