This morning’s very successful writing session was followed by talk sessions on attention and memory, and verbal cognition. Now we’re enjoying symposia on the role of the self in binding and expertise. Lots of lively questions too! 🧠 #CogSec2024
Massive congratulations to Iuliana Velinskiy from London Metropolitan University who won our Undergraduate Project Prize and presented a poster on her project at today’s poster session 👍
Day 1 of The British Psychological Society Cognitive Section’s annual conference in Swansea is off to a fantastic start! The buzzing energy for the week has been kickstarted by keynote speaker @mggaskell, Chair Professor Thomas Ormerod, and Treasurer @kayritchiepsych.
Who’s joining us in Swansea next week for our annual conference? We’re looking forward to a jam-packed programme with lots of excellent cognitive psychology! Excited for our keynote speaker @mggaskell & our prize winner Connor Keating, as well as dinner and our legendary karaoke!
Just like our cyber psych section colleagues we enjoy a good karaoke session at our annual conference! Highlights from last year include an atrocious rendition of S Club by our secretary @wendyamross and treasurer @kayritchiepsych and some very good musicals from @philip_fine
Delighted to announce that the cyber karaoke tradition was upheld last night. Great to see a selection of new recruits into the #Cyberaoke gang too! #Cyber24
Did you know you can easily change your preferences on the BPS system so that the Section can contact you directly? If you don't do this, the committee can't reach out to you with Section/conference news directly. It's really easy to change and will hugely help the committee!
🚨Due to popular demand, we are extending the conference submission period to the 17th of May! Don't worry if you have submitted already, the committee will review submissions and stick to the decision deadline of end of May.
