C was very proud to represent P2 at the P7 Burns Supper as the winner of our poetry competition 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 he couldn’t have been more Scottish if he tried!

Today P2 read Hamish The Hairy Haggis, then we drew what we thought a haggis would look like roaming the Highlands 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yesterday we visited the Tuesday Club at St Andrews Church to sing some Scottish songs 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎵 we had a great time and hope to be back soon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’m so happy to be back with Primary 2 ❤️ today our class elf Jingles hid clues around the school which we had to solve to find our prize of elf chocolate 🍫🎄everyone worked really hard to solve the clues and we all enjoyed our prize ☺️

We have been learning about castles 🏰We can name and identify the different parts of a castle. We put our knowledge to the test in the playground and drew our own castles with battlements, moats, drawbridges and much more!

This week we started our first topic of P2 - Castles 🏰 We can name the features of a castle and even developed our fine motor skills by cutting and sticking a castle made out of 2D shapes into our jotter.

We practised our spelling this week in many different ways. We thought of lots of different words with the sh sound in them and identified more in our lessons throughout the week ✏️

Our PE days this year are Monday and Tuesday. Please send pupils to school in their active uniform on these days ⚽️🏀

After reading the book Not A Box, we worked in groups to make our own “not a box” creations. Some are still adding the finishing touches but so far we have a Thomas the Tank Engine, a robot, a racing car and lots of very happy P2s ☺️🚂🏎️🤖📦
