Today a few of our Heritage Hunters spoke to the BYB Trustees about our Blackrod Remembers Heritage Lottery Project. They did a fantastic job of explaining our project and all the exciting things we have learnt already! @BYBBlackrod

We are having a fantastic time getting to know our new friends and playing in our new classroom! Tomorrow is Picasso’s first full day, 8:50-3:25. We can’t wait to spend a full day together as a unit! From Monday, the school day begins at 8:45 until pick up at 3:25. @BlackrodPSch

We have enjoyed following treasure maps in forest school and learning that we have rules for a reason - some to keep us safe and also to keep games fair! We have been learning about pond safety and have been playing games with different rules! @ForestSchBPS @BlackrodPSch 🌲

We are having a great morning in Picasso! We have been reading Commotion in the Ocean and exploring the sea related activities in the classroom @BlackrodPSch

We had a lovely trip to St Katharine’s church this morning. We have learned about what people who follow Christian faith believe. We used our road safety knowledge to stay safe when crossing the roads, then we went to the park to play and eat snack! @BlackrodPSch

Today we started our growing and planting project, we went on a walk to find and identify different plants! 🌱 🪴 🌳 @BlackrodPSch

Today we have been working on composition of numbers to ten and one less! We have started to introduce number sentences and practice these in provision! 🧮 @BlackrodPSch

We ❤️ maths! We have loved independently exploring number in the playdough, with manipulatives and we have been spotting number by subitising the paint 🎨 @BlackrodPSch

Today we have sequenced the story ‘Dinosaurs’ Day Out’ by Nick Sharratt. We have discussed and written about on days out we have been on! Watch out for our map making tomorrow, ready for a day out around Blackrod next week! @BlackrodPSch 🗺

Today we had a lovely visit from the mayor! Thank you so much for our medals from Kind Charles and Queen Camilla to commemorate the King’s coronation 👑 @BlackrodPSch

In PSHE we are learning about our well being and being independent. We have discussed what we find difficult about daily tasks such as tying our laces, getting dressed, sleeping in our own beds. We then played a game of roll a six and get ready! 🎲 🧣 🎩 🧤 🧥
