@chambersharold8 Taliban’s recognition of Chechnya in late 1999 was a dud for sure. Estonia also made faint diplomatic convulsions at the time, then promptly went stumm (‘‘twas pre-NATO & EU ascension). There is no “dynamic sovereignty” — 100k+ Russian troops permanently stationed in Chechnya.
