Yes, if you saw Venom: The Last Dance in theaters, you saw my ass on the big screen shoulder-checking Venom/ Eddie Brock! Go to my Instagram for some behind the scenes footage!
I’m excited to announce that I’m stepping into a new role for The Athletic covering the East at large. I’ll still be based out of Boston and around the Celtics, but will be taking on a broader scope, writing more features and analysis on teams across the East Coast and beyond.
RIP Frankie Beverly. Living room music staple. I got into the FB & Maze albums in my late 20s, maybe it just hit the right way then. Lovely, layered, mature music. His beautiful voice accompanies a great band throughout their catalog.
We were just playing “While I’m Alone” on the TMC stream yesterday, and their classic “Golden Time Of Day” is the first record I mix on a Paul’s Wall mix that’s a fave on my YouTube page. It’s crazy that the setting sun pokes through right as that song comes into the mix…
I highly recommend digging into their albums if you haven’t - music discovery never stops (heck, I still need to grab their 4th album). I included all of my pic cover Maze records in the last slide, along with a household fave “We Are One” during it’s beautiful resolving jam into the last vocal pass of the song.
May his music match many lovely moments for decades to come 🙏
