@JackTriceMafia My school, my alma mater, refuses to have nice things. Refusing to get good publicity is just idiotic. So small-timey it baffles the mind.
@GoPowercat@LifeofFitz Theory…this is related to “walk-ons”, that through NIL funds, would be stockpiled at some schools while denying poorer schools with shallow NIL pockets the ability to entice them w/a scholarship & free education. But I’m probably missing something obvious…
@BeerMeBaby1@jlkurtz@KSeaboldt I believe it was a phrase that Dev Nelson started which would make it as old as sometime back in the 1950s. It was also a banner/painted on the press box (the one attached to the roof) in Ahearn for many years. It’s got long-time history.
@DanMyersCards@BrianBookwalter But “low” rates became normalized & baked into every component of the housing mkt (& frankly all mkts) & then went up very quickly so until this becomes the new normal, people will complain and I think that takes 5-7 years.
@phildetlefsen@Whitney_Hartman I think it was as low as .325 or .36 something. Wake Forest was a smidge better. I'm talking about back in 1989. We were statistically dominant.
@LifeofFitz Disclaimer…I’m not a historian. I’d imagine we, & those who won WWII w/us, could $nudge$ Germany & tell them what type of gov’t & econ system they could choose, whereas the USSR won w/us and had systems (communism & socialism) in place we clearly were adversarial to 🤷🏻♂️.
@LifeofFitz This will be seem hyperbolic… Should we have just turned our back on Germany in ‘46 & not helped them (or Japan) rebuild? Do we understand that the roots of Nazi Germany r partially a product of how we left them after WW1? Glad we forgave & let them import a successful product.
